For the last few millennia of historical evolution of human mind and knowledge starting from petroglyphic sacred signs to abstract Vedas, Upanishads and Sutra, people constantly changed or made few insignificant (which in several millennia turned to significant) special terms and paths.
With every century the sacred teachings became more and more special purposed. That gave birth to Bhakti-yoga, Gnyany-yoga, Carma-yoga, and later on Raja-yoga, Khatkha-yoga, Cundalini-yoga, Mantra-yoga and many other derivational streams. For the last few decades specialization of yoga became narrower. And altogether it resulted in the fact that the founders of these paths did not find enough time for perception of life as united reality. At the instigation of eastern teachers and western business enthusiasts new paths of diverted reality appeared, namely Ayengar, Ashtanga-vinyasa, Vini, Trai, Power, Vinyasa-flow, Classic, Pewar, Anusara, Total, Wan, Isi-yoga, Anaforest-method, Krishnamachari heritage, yoga-for-dogs and many many other rubbishly introduced paths of yoga. But unfortunately, bhoga yoga came to Western countries too late. Modern western rotten in finances world involved yoga in business sphere and divided it on different possible specialised authorial styles which completely lost any features and chain of human mind integration with true reasons and ideas of real yoga. Unfortunately, in the West vast majority of people practicing "yoga" have already forgotten its primary meaning and true essence. One of the ancient texts of it - yoga sutra - was written by wise Patanjali on Sanskrit - is translated and interpreted on the basis of understanding of a certain commentators. And one can say that there is nothing special about it until he or she get to know Sanskrit better. As a language it is quite abstract one, and a single word meaning often has more than one possible interpretation, for example, "yoga" has no lesser that eighteen versions of interpretation. Thus people do comment "yoga" by a single word, the one which describe their fictional path at its best paying no attention to its other meanings. Likely, people do realise that the true meaning is not the one told by someone but the one which was suggested by Patanjali, sage person who observe our world from different angles and never impose certain paths in life but make people feel the beauty of every side of it at its full.
